Photos that look like a friend took them, and like you

Why this exists

Dating apps decide in under a second, and they decide on photos. Most people don't have a problem with their personality, their bio, or their intentions. They have five photos from 2019, three of them taken at arm's length in the same room. The rest of the profile never gets read.

Every tool built to fix that made the same mistake: it made people look impressive. Studio light, smoothed skin, a jaw that arrived from somewhere else. Those photos get questioned on the app and disproved at the table. So we built the opposite.

What we refuse to do

This is the part that makes CMeIn different, and it's a set of things we deliberately don't offer:

• We don't beautify. No smoothing, no slimming, no shaving years off. The photo is you on an ordinary good day, not a better-looking relative.
• We don't glamourise. Our photos are candid: real settings, ordinary light, phone-shot framing. When you do need a plain headshot, for a directory or a badge, the headshot tool makes one from a photo you have, with your face kept as it is.
• We don't sell a subscription. Credit packs, pay for what you generate, stop whenever you want.

The test we build against isn't "is this a good photo." It's whether someone who knows your face would scroll past without pausing, and whether you're still recognisable when you walk into the coffee shop.

Who's behind it

CMeIn is built and run by Barak Kedem, a solo founder, not a company with a marketing department. Every prompt in the catalog, every article on the blog, and every reply to a support email comes from one person who is unreasonably invested in whether the face in the photo is actually yours.

That means slower than a funded team on some things, and much faster on others: if something in the product is wrong, there's nobody to escalate to. Write and it gets fixed.

Your photos

The reference photos you upload are used to generate your photos, and nothing else. They are not sold, not published, and not used to train models for anyone else. You can delete them, and your account, whenever you want.

Most of what we've learned building this is public: over a hundred articles on what makes a photo read as fake, what dating apps actually reward, and how to write a profile that survives the first meeting. No gated PDFs, no email wall: read the blog.
